INTRODUCTION

Vertical turbine pump is a type of centrifugal pump that can be used to transport liquids such as clean water, rainwater, corrosive industrial wastewater, seawater. Widely used in water companies, sewage treatment plants, power plants, steel plants, mines and other industrial and mining enterprises, as well as municipal water supply and drainage, flood control, drainage and fire-fighting projects.

The suction bell of the Diesel engine Vertical Turbine Pump is vertically downwards at the bottom, and the discharge is horizontal.

The pump can be driven by solid shaft motor, hollow shaft motor or diesel engine.

Driven by solid shaft motor, The pump and motor are connected through the coupling, pump structure include motor base with anti reverse device.

Driven by hollow shaft motor, The pump and motor are connected through the motor shaft, do not need the motor base and coupling.

Driven by a diesel engine, the pump and diesel engine are connected through an right angle gearbox and universal coupling for transmission.

Pump suction bell is equipped with a suction strainer with appropriate hole size, which effectively prevents large particle impurities from entering the pump and damaging the water pump, while minimizing suction hydraulic losses and improving the pump efficiency.

The impeller drill a balance hole to balance axial force, and the front and rear cover plates of the impeller are equipped with replaceable sealing rings to protect the impeller and guide vane body.

The pump column pipe is connected by flange, and there is a bracket between each two column pipes. All bracket are equipped with line bearings, which are made of NBR, PTFE, or THORDON material.

The shaft seal of the pump usually use gland packing seal, and if the user special required, The Cartridge mechanical seal can also be provided.

The column pipe and transmission shaft can be multiple sections according to the under base length required by the user, and the shaft is generally connected by the sleeve coupling(Some small size can use thread coupling). The impeller can be single-stage or multi-stage to meet different head requirements, and the impeller can be in the form of centrifugal type or shaft/mixed flow type to meet different operating conditions.
